Ways to Create an Intention
Creating an intention is a key step in The LifeLine Technique®, as it is a way to guide and influence the subconscious mind so that it reacts to situations with a healthier and more constructive ‘program’. There are three main ways to create an intention.
- The Certified LifeLine Practitioner will guide the client through a very short visualisation exercise so the client can connect with how they would be feeling if they were living their perfect day. From that activity they will create an intention together
- The individual or small group may have already decided on a theme for the session, for example, assertive and authentic communication, and will either devise their own intention or select an intention the practitioner has specifically designed for the theme.
This method is particularly good for people who are already gaining self-awareness and noting situations, people or dreams that have ‘triggered’ them into a strong reaction, either recently or in the past.
- Another effective method is to focus on any significant physical symptom the client is experiencing. The client can be led through a ‘conversation’ with the symptom to ‘hear’ the message. Alternatively, the mental and emotional causes of the symptom can be read in Lise Bourbeau’s book Your Body’s Telling You: Love Yourself. In my experience, nine out of ten times people have found this book to be very relevant and a theme often easily presents itself.
There are other ways to create intentions like using bush flower essence cards, angel cards, vision boards, and mind movies. You may wish to create an intention for a specific chakra. Once you have more exposure to The LifeLine Technique® you will have a better appreciation of how widely it can be applied and will be able to create intentions in a way that is authentic, fun and empowering to you.
